Riley has dedicated much of her life to higher education as a writing tutor, academic advisor, instructor, and currently as a PhD student in English. With a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Master of Arts in English, she explores the 18th and 19th Century British literature through affect, cognitive, and narrative theory lenses in her doctoral program. Her most recent work examines the intersection of Jane Austen, narrative form, and the 21st century reader.
