Kenzie Trowbridge

Kenzie Trowbridge is a PhD student in English at the University of Kentucky. She holds a BA in English and Family Studies from College of the Ozarks and an MA in English from Iowa State University. Her master’s thesis, The Hauntingly Real in Ozarks Women’s Folktales: Unsettled Domesticity and Contested Motherhood, examined women’s folktales from the Ozarks and the ways these narratives complicate cultural ideas about motherhood and domestic life. Her current research interests include folklore, regionalism and local color fiction, and representations of women and regional identity in American literature.
