Welcome to the English Graduate Student Organization

Each year, EGSO supports graduate student professionalism and camaraderie by organizing and sponsoring recurring events. The goal of EGSO is to provide community and resources to graduate students in the English department in all three cohorts (M.A,. MFA, and Ph.D.). In recent years, EGSO has developed professionalization events including teaching workshops and paper developing sessions for publishing. Each spring, EGSO holds a symposium for graduate students to present their work to colleagues and faculty in a formal conference format. EGSO fosters graduate student collegiality through social events hosted on and off campus.
